My experience at The Vein and Laser Centre and specifically my interaction with Dr. Stewart was excellent and went well beyond my expectations. From my initial consultation, through the procedure and in the follow up sessions and into recovery I could not have been happier. The results have been excellent and the process and procedure itself was easy and well executed.  Had I known how effective and non-invasive the procedure was I would have done it years ago. I would strongly encourage anyone dealing with varicose veins to book a consultation with Dr. Stewart. You will no doubt be happy you did. This was a game changer for me: the bulging veins disappeared and no more swelling when I walked.  The procedure was very easy and they explained every step of the way. I could not be happier with my experience with the Vein and Laser centre. Dr Stewart is a meticulous surgeon, and the results on both legs could not be better. I look forward to summer clothes with much more confidence because each year I was getting more varicose vein bulges. I  love having smoother legs now. I found the whole procedure to be painless.  Dr. Stewart had explained the surgery, answering any questions, at our first meeting, and everything went smoothly. Both he and his nurse assistant, Karan,  were very professional, but also friendly and pleasant, creating a really positive atmosphere. I was comfortable the whole time. I had my surgery in early February '26, and it is now the end of March. Each step of the recovery has gone perfectly. The follow-up is also excellent, and today I had a final appointment with Dr Stewart. I wish I had known about this type of surgery, and had it done earlier! The complete system set up from front row reception to the Surgeon and his assistant is first class! For me personally I can’t say enough about about the difference the surgery made ,from grotesque leg veins that protruded about a 1/4 “ from my leg surface ,to absolute zero !! Had my varicose veins surgery back in August and I'm so glad I went through with it. Dr. Stewart and the assistant (I can't remember her name I'm sorry) were both wonderful and very communicative during the procedure. I had a few of my varicose veins removed and it was smooth sailing. The healing time was quick, some discomfort for a day or two, and didn't really impact my day to day activities. From start to finish, I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Stewart and The Vein and Laser Centre. I had very twisted and painful varicose veins that had been causing me issues for more than 10 years. The procedure to remove them was quick and essentially painless. I felt well prepared for the procedure and recovery period and all my questions were answered. My results truly speak for themselves. I am so happy with how my leg looks. I only wish I had sought treatment sooner rather than dealing with this issue for so long! I would recommend this clinic to anyone who is looking for treatment for varicose veins or laser vein treatment. I’ve had incredible results and will be telling anyone who asks to come here! Absolutely incredible difference — night and day. My pain is completely gone. Dr. Stewart was accessible, answered all my questions promptly, and made the whole experience reassuring. I’m so happy that I went with Dr. Martin Stewart for my varicose vein treatment, EVLA and Microphlebectomy surgery. I went for one consultation with another doctor who said he couldn’t treat all my veins with laser and I would have to have two separate treatments. The first would be laser and then I would have to go back once healed for injections of liquid foam. I was not interested in the injections so I looked for a second opinion and thankfully went to Dr. Martin Stewart. He was able to treat all my veins in one procedure and I’m very happy with the results! Dr. Martin Stewart has a nice demeanour about him and knows what he’s doing. What a great experience from start to finish. Dr Stewart is so warm and friendly and always greets you with a heartfelt smile. He is down to earth and makes you feel super comfortable. The receptionists are always quick to return calls or emails. They try to work around your schedule and order more stockings if you need them. I wanted to order twice more …..his stockings were easy, comfortable and the best ones I have had.  The surgery was great…he made me feel comfortable and the nurse was spectacular as well… I am petrified of needles and this was a walk in the park ….recovery was so easy …I am a Gr 1 teacher and I returned to work the next day without any problems or discomfort. I am so happy I went through it, I just wish I had of done it sooner.  His location in Port Perry is so nice—clean, and bright. There is ample parking as well. I am so glad I chose to go to his clinic. You won’t regret it. I had both legs done  and I am looking forward to the summer, it will be the first time in 15 years that I will not be embarrassed to wear a swimsuit or shorts! I had all three procedures done on both legs and it was a comfortable procedure with very little pain. It has been a few months and I am so happy with the results. Dr. Stewart and his team have been fantastic to work with.  Professional, friendly and most importantly fantastic at what they do. Dr. Stewart was able to quickly and easily design an individual course of treatment which was relatively quick and easy.  Recovery was basically pain free and quick (I was back to normal life within a few days and back to work same day). Most importantly, the results have been fantastic. The consultation with Dr Stewart was very well explained about what I was going to go through with my legs and what they would look like. The Vein and Laser Centre provides excellent service and treatment. Anyone that is uncertain of a vein issue should book a consultation with Dr. Stewart through the website - it is quite easy to do. The laser treatment was quick and painless with hardly any discomfort. The recovery was not inconvenient and required the wearing of a compression stocking for a few days. The relief provided by the laser treatment was overwhelmingly noticeable within days of the procedure, and I was elated with the successful outcome. Again, the first step to being treated is to book a consultation - I can say it was certainly worth it. I hope this review can help others find the same success and relief I experienced. It was my first time seeking out varicose vein treatment and so was unsure of what to expect and what could be done to help me. Overall, the procedure and recovery were as the team described. I am really pleased with the results and the follow through commitment to refine results in a subsequent treatment covered as part of my initial session. I thought the process to remove unsightly veins would be painful and complicated. I’ve spent years feeling insecure and avoiding shorts and short skirts because the veins behind my knees were so prominent and hideous. I was surprised at how reasonable the price for my procedure was. Dr Stewart was also friendly and kind. I can’t recommend this clinic enough! Thank you Dr Stewart!!! From my first consultation to my last follow up, Dr. Stewart took amazing care of my legs. ( varicose and spider vein treatments) He answered all my questions and on my recent visit surprised me with a quick fix of an issue I have been so self conscious of for over 20 years and I feel like a whole new person!! Dr. Stewart and his team are great.  I visited Dr. Stewart for sclerotherapy to treat some spider veins on my legs.  The treatments were very effective.  It took 3 treatments, as Dr. Stewart advised on the initial consultation, and my legs are basically vein free now.   Dr. Stewart was kind and personable, as were his staff. I have had horrible spider veins on my legs since I was in my teens. I am now 50 this year and I was referred to Dr. M Stewart and his team. With the very first treatment I am seeing amazing results. I wanted to take a moment to share my experience at ‘The Vein & Laser Centre’ located in Port Perry. Several years ago, I noticed changes in the veins on the back of my legs and became concerned that they would become problematic. I was surprised to find out there was a clinic local to me. I went online and was able to book an initial consultation within a week and with no fee. When I arrived at the clinic, the staff was kind and welcoming. My appointment was on time. Dr. Stewart took the time to listen to my concerns and spoke to me about the best course of treatment. He informed me it would likely take three treatments and explained the cost. When I returned for my second appointment, the quality of care and service was just as it had been the first time I visited. Dr. Stewart took the time to explain what I should expect after treatment and what to avoid. I would say my experience was better than expected. Today ( September 2022) I went for my second treatment. I was informed that the first treatment went well and that today would be my final session. A third would not be needed. I am thrilled with the quality of care, the overall service and the time is taken when meeting with Dr. Stewart. My husband cannot believe the difference and will also undergo treatment. This experience was not difficult and not painful (only uncomfortable). I had varicose veins done on both legs, at the same time, and drove myself home. The biggest challenge was the compression socks, and it was worth keeping them on! Dr Stewart and his team were informative, friendly, professional, and cared about my comfort as well as the results. For approximately 30 years I had a varicose vein behind my right knee. It was not bothering me. In the last few years it got much larger, bulging behind my knee and running about half way down my shin. If I bent down on that knee the bulge was so big behind it really  hurt.  Then I started having a very achy leg, leg cramps, Charley horses and some numbness in my right foot. The vein was bulging behind my leg and around my knee and down the shin. I saw my Dr. who highly recommended Dr. Stewart and The Vein  and Laser Clinic. I saw Dr. Stewart, who explained what options I had. Previous to his appt I  had an ultrasound of my legs. Dr. Stewart looked at the ultrasound and explained the bulging vein was caused by a blocked vein on the inside of my leg. I decided to go ahead with the procedure which was booked about 12 days later. I was abnormally anxious, but Dr. Stewart, his very comforting receptionist and his nurse totally helped me relax and totally breeze through the procedure. I had EVLA and injections. The first few weeks were uncomfortable but nothing that OTC meds could not address. I followed his directions and he called to see how I was doing after 2 weeks. Definitely improving and I made sure he took a picture of my bulging vein so I could see the before and after. I just had my 4 week check up and I am totally thrilled with my results. He is a perfectionist and noticed a few spots where the huge vein is gone but a few spider veins had surfaced so he promptly did them and another vein on my other leg that he noticed was bulging. I could seriously dance and just smile because since the surgery my leg has not had a cramp, Charley Horse, numbness or ache.  It is amazing and best of all my leg already looks much much better! I have another 2 months until he will deem the recovery complete. I am ecstatic and would highly advise anyone who is suffering with varicose veins to at least have a consultation and talk to Dr. Stewart. I would do it again in a heartbeat! I just had the most wonderful medical experience.  I saw Dr. Stewart in Port Perry for a lipoma removal.  From the moment I walked in to the moment I left he and his staff were so caring, professional and genuine.  His receptionist Melissa gave me a warm welcome.  I was then moved into the surgical room and was very nervous.  I met the nurse Brittney who also was so pleasant and made me feel at ease right away.  I then met Dr. Stewart.  I had only had a phone consultation with him previously.  He was extremely pleasant, professional and caring.  He talked to me thru the entire procedure ensuring I was ok the whole time.  He talked to me about after care when he was done.  I had a couple of questions in the week following the procedure and Dr. Stewart returned my emails very quickly. After having two babies, I was suffering from an enormous varicose vein running down the full length of my leg. I was living with constant pain, cramping and aching. My other care providers advised me to wait until I was sure I wasn’t having another baby before having any procedures done on my leg. I was told it was likely for the vein to come back during future pregnancies and it would be a waste of time. However, I was in daily pain and decided to reach out and book a consultation with Dr. Stewart to discuss my options. He took one look at my leg and was confident he could treat it and that it wouldn’t come back, even if I decided to have more children in the future! The procedure itself was quick and relatively painless. I had laser and sclerotherapy performed during my procedure. I have to admit, the recovery was painful for the first 5-7 days, but was easily managed with OTC pain medicines. Now, 4 months post-procedure, I am pain/ache/cramp free! What and unbelievable experience I had with Dr. Stewart. I received varicose vein laser treatment about two months ago and not only was it successful but within a week I started feeling a change for the better with my leg. Everyday I feel more comfortable and confident with stuff like wearing shorts or even just being able to walk around without soreness or tiredness. After 13 years, I can finally wear shorts and a bathing suit again.  For the past 13 years I would only wear clothes that were baggy and went down past my knees so that you couldn't see my bulging mass of veins on both legs. Dr. Stewart is incredible. At my consultation he listened to my concerns and took time to answer my questions and explain my treatment options. I had varicose veins that were slowing me down from having the active lifestyle I enjoyed.  After putting it off for years, I met with Dr Stewart and decided to have the EVLA procedure performed on both legs.  It has been life-changing and the best decision I ever made!  I didn't realize how heavy and achy my legs felt until after the procedure when the feeling was gone.  After a long day working on my feet, I no longer feel the need to come home and put my feet up.  I can resume running and my distances have increased without the heaviness in my legs or compression socks.  I am more active than ever and my legs never feel tired.  It's amazing! From my first consultation and following the procedure, Dr. Stewart and his staff were welcoming, kind, thorough in the explanation of the procedure, and generous with their time answering all my questions and emails.  The process is very well organized and easy.  I was nervous for the procedure however Dr. Stewart and his assistant talked to me the entire time to put me at ease. For years I put off dealing with the appearance of the ugly veins in my leg. I wore pants in the winter and capris in the summer. People wondered why I would never wear shorts or a dress. I was too embarrassed to show my leg which was growingly getting worse as time went on. One day I decided to make a change and do something about it! I researched a few laser locations that were closer to home for me. I made my decision and took a leap of faith with them. It was the best decision I ever made! Dr Stewart and his team were fantastic! They were exactly what I needed. He made me feel at ease and didn’t pressure me into anything. He was thorough in his explanations about the different procedures and answered all of my questions so I felt comfortable in making my decision. The procedure was painless and the recovery was quick. I would recommend Dr Stewart and The Vein and Laser Centre to anyone wanting to deal with varicose veins!! I wish I did this years ago!! I’m so happy with my results today! I had very large varicose veins and got the laser procedure to remove them.  Dr. Stewart explained all the steps and what to expect in plain English.  There was some tenderness and bruising the days following the procedure, but this was all explained beforehand, so it was predicted.  All in all, I would recommend this clinic. Dr. Steward & his team are exceptional. I had the EVLA procedure on my  leg as will as vein injections. Dr. Steward is knowledge, patent & personable. He explained the steps of the EVLA procedure and what I was to expect, there were no surprises. I was able to go back to work the very next day, with very little swelling or bruising. There was very little discomfort during and after the procedure, the most you will feel are the needles to freeze the area before the procedure begins. In the days following you will need to wear compression stockings, which for me was more uncomfortable than the procedure itself :) I have no more pain in my leg during damp days or when on my feet for long periods of time!! The vein injections took care of any unsightly looking puffy veins. I had  some spider veins (very few) that were not bad at all, almost felt silly asking the Doctor to injected them. But when I did ask Dr. Steward about injecting them he didn't make me feel silly at all :) I highly recommend Dr. Steward and his team whether you need an EVLA  procedure or just want to feel good about yourself by getting the vein injections. If I develop more unsightly veins over the years to come, I will be contacting Dr. Steward again!!
